Resource Calendar

Most of the resources in my Enterprise Resource Pool are using the Standard
calendar as defined in the Enterprise Global project. However a few
resources have changed themselves to use a 'Nondefault working time' for all
dates in their calendar. When I try to set selected dates back to 'Use
default' in the radion button selection, it does not allow this setting and
instanly reverts back to "Nondefault working time"

Many Thanks,

David

I am totally puzzled by your problem description since resources CANNOT
change their own calendars in the Enterprise Resource Pool. To solve this
problem, I would suggest you open the Enterprise Resource Pool for editing
and examine the Base Calendar column. The value should be set to Standard
for all resources in the pool. If this does not solve the problem, let us
know.

Also, in the future, please post your Project Server questions to the
microsoft.public.project.server newsgroup, as this newsgroup is going to
close down.

Hi Dale,

I have looked in the pool and all resources are set to standard for their
base calendar. When I say resource have changed themselves, a person has not
physically changed their settings but within the system the resource seems
to different settings to the others and will not allow this setting to
revert back.

We have about 20 enterprise resources and for the majority of these
resources, all of the date in the calendar arre set to use default, so these
resources inherit the non-working time days that I haved defined in the
Enterprise Global Project standard calendar.

Three of these resources seem to not be able to pick up the standard
calander settings and instead all days in their calendar are set to
nondefault working time. Hence the bank holidays that are defined in the
standard calendar are not picked up for these resources and I have to add
them in as nonworking time against these resources again.

If I try to click 'Use default' against the resources calendar it does not
set the radion button but reverts the radion button back to 'nondefault
working time'

My question is how I can ensure these resources use the standard calader for
all days?

Thank you for your clear explanation. Now I understand. I have never seen
the behavior you describe. What happens if you check out these three
resources for editing, set their Base Calendar to something else (assuming
you have another base calendar), save the Enterprise Resource Pool, then
change their Base Calendar back to the Standar calendar and save the
Enterprise Resource Pool again? Are their calendars now correct? Let us
know.
