Resource can logon to Project Server

Running into an odd issue with resources in our Enterprise Resource Pool
(2007 ver.). We are trying to deactivate a user. I see the active /
inactive attribute - no problem with that. The question is, can we also
disable the field that says "Resource can log into prject server?" That
field is currently checked and is greyed out, so I can't seem to deselect it?
If I remove the users' credentials and attempt to save, i get an error
message. Should I be able to deselect this option once it's selected and
saved??

You can remove the resource for all groups, that will deny them the access to
log in. Alternatively, create a group, and DENY the permission to log on,
and add the user to that group. Because DENY overrides all other
permissions, you won't need to remove the user from the other groups.

That makes sense. I guess I'm just confused in that it does not appear that
you can simply "uncheck" the check box that says "resource can logon to
project server" once you've set it (?) Seems this would be the EASIEST way
to deny someone logon ability?
