I have a project with several phases to it. Each phase uses the same
resources. When I view resource usage, I have multiple lines (associated
with the appropriate phases) for the same resource. Can I color-code the
phases so the colors will past through to resource usage or maybe make
another phase field that will past through?

Hi Paul,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

Can't be done, sorry :-( If you had each phase as a separate project, you
could then insert a column for the Project field which will identify it for
you . Alternatively, you could insert a Text field which you could fill
down with the name of each phase.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: <http://www.mvps.org/project/>

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on:)

Thanks, that was what I was afraid of. I got frustrated using a resource
pool earlier, attempting to do it as separate projects. I will go back and
use each project's resources separately.

Thanks again.

I have setup separate projects and inserted them into a master project. I
have inserted a Project column which shows the subproject name on the Gnatt
view. I would like to see the project column when I view resources. Any
ideas?

Why not simply insert it, it is available in Resource Views.
