Resource changes to attendee when you add new attendees to meeting

Maybe this is user error, but it's driving me crazy. Whenever I have a
meeting set up with a conference room set as a resouce, it populates the
location field. GREAT! However, when I add or delete an attendee, the
resource changes to an attendee and clears the location field.

What am I doing wrong? Or, is this a glitch in Outlook 2002?
