Resource checked out but can't check in

I was in Resource Center, checked all resources and clicked the Open...
button, so it opened in Project 2007. Then Project 2007 crashed. This left
these resources in the la la land. If I click Open... in Resource Center
again, Project 2007 says these resources can't be checked out again. If I
click Edit Details, the web page says the resource has been checked out in
another session. Anyone has any suggestions?

I found the the entire Office 2007's integration with their server
conterpart to be unstable. InfoPath crashes often too for me when there're
remote data sources. So much for the Smart Client stuff.

You will have to manually check in the resources.
Kindly follow these steps
1. Log onto project server as admin
2. Click on server settings
3. Under Database administration, click on Forced check in of enterprise
objects
4. Under objects to be checked in select Enterprise resource
5. All the resources which are checked out will be displayed
6. Select all of them and click on check in
