Resource event query... please help

Hello,

I have a query regarding OnChanging event for ResourceEvnetHandler. I
have written a code that will insert a row in ResourceCustomFields
Dataset in this event. The row is successfully getting added to this
recordset. But, the problem is after successful execution the
changes are not getting reflected.

Is it allowed to modify or add the values in ResourceInformation
dataset that we get in pre events?
