Hello,
I am trying to reflect the load on resources by group for project work in my
department. I have defined my groups by job title (Business Analyst, Network
Engineer, etc) and entered them as my resource names. Next, I set the Max
Units value to reflect the number of each resource in the group. I have 2
Business Analysts, for instance, so my Max. Units for the Business Analyst
group is 200%. Likewise for my 4 Network Engineers, my Max Units for Network
Engineer is 400%.
I need to show that the resource groups do not work on projects full time
each day. My Network Engineers, for instance, spend only 4 hours out of each
8 hour day on projects. Business Analysts spend 6 hours of each 8 hour day
on projects, and so on.
To reflect this, should I set the individual work times for each resource
group to the appropriate number of hours worked on projects each day? Should
I leave the default calendar setting at 8 hours per workday?
Thanks,
Tom
