Resource Leveling - Resource Remaining Work not moving forward

Scenario: Resource 1 is assigned 16 hours of effort to be completed between
9/21 and 9/22. During that period, Resource 1 completed 12 of the 16 hours.
On 9/27, the PM reviews the schedule and levels, but the remaining hours on
the task (and scheduled Finish date) do not move to a future time period.

Is there a setting for MSP to move the Remaining Work forward?

I have tried this, but it still doesn't work. The remaining hours stays in
the past week and doesn't push forward. Only tasks that have no hours
recorded against it move forward. I'll keep testing.

Thanks for the help! I had been trying that option, but I also learned that
in Tools/Options/Schedule, the "Split in-progress Tasks" needed to be
selected as well.

I need to correct myselft, the suggestions did work, but the "Split
in-progress tasks" option needs to be "on" in Tools/Options/Schedule.
