Resource levelling on a weekly basis

Hi,

I have a master planning for a team of developers that tells them o
which project they need to work. I use priorities to have the resourc
levelling done.

Is the following possible with MS project? I have someone assigned to
task last week. For whatever reason, this person could not do this task
or only partly. I fill in the actual work so project knows how much ha
been done. I now want to redo the resource levelling, as of now, and
want MS project to move the task of last week to a point after today, a
it was not finished. So I don't want to leave it in the past (las
week).

Tools/Tracking/Update Project and then opt to update selected tasks
would appear to be what you require. You need to do this before you
re-level.

This does the trick, but only sort of. My project file only contain
links to other projects, as it consolidates all the projects. The optio
"entire project" does not work. For selected tasks, it works, but i
skips some tasks. No idea why. The only constraints I have on tasks is
"start no earlier than".

So I come close, but have to inspect manually for tasks the too
"forgot"
