Resource Overallocation 2003

When I am looking at the Resource Graph vs. Resource Sheet, I'm not
seeing the same information. I would expect that if my resource is
overallocated by 10% I should be able to see it in either. The numbers
from each view is different. The resource can be overallocated by one
of the views and be under 8 hours on another. This is nuts. Can anyone
help?

The resource will be overallocated if they work more than their availability.
A single task may be under 8 hours, but they may also be assigned additional
hours on another task at the same time. This is best found on the Resource
Usage View.

Also, check your time scale units and make sure they are the same in both
views. For example if a resource is overloaded on Wednesday and your graph
has a scale of weeks, they will show over allocated for the week on the
graph. The Resource usage view with a time scale of days might show a
different picture.

Examine resource availability in the timeframe in question. If someone has
half day of vacation scheduled (availability is 50% that day), then anything
over 4 hours shows them overloaded.
