Resource Overallocation

I want to be able to easily print and review
overallocations. I used the Overallocated resource
report, but I want the sort to be by start date rather
than by project/ID. Any ideas on how to get the data by
person/start date, or to transfer the data into some other
software so that it can be manipulated?

Hi Linda
Have you tried the Resource Usage view.
You can then copy the task and the data content of this
view (must do it separately though), with the date range
selections you specify, and then Paste Special Text into
excel.

Resource Overallocation

When you preview the overalloaction report- it is grouped by the Entire Project, edit the report (Custom, Edit) and change the period to weeks, days etc

Alternatively, Choose File, Save As and change the file type to Excel - create Map when prompted

Have you used the Resource Mananagment Toolbar? It provides you a button to go to the next overallocation (by date), and helds display the Resource Allocation View which will filter the tasks by resource in a gantt chart - very usefull

Hope it helps
