Resource plan check-in problem

Hi,

When working with Activity Plans and accompanying Resource Plans, I
often get an error regarding the check-in status of the Resource Plan.
Specifically, the error is:

"The resource plan is no longer checked out to you and your changes
will not be saved. Contact the Project Server Administrator."

This requires me to get completely out of the Resource Plan, check in
the Activity Plan, then open the Activity Plan and the Resource Plan
to get my changes to stick.

I have installed SP1 in a vpc to test this (and the other bugs I keep
running into in MOPS), and error happens there as well.

Does anyone have any insight into how to work around this problem?
Does anyone have a resolution for it?

Thanks in advance!

We have now run into this during the last couple of open enrollment and
client classes I have conducted since applying SP1. It sure feels like a
new bug, doesn't it?

Hi Dale,

We saw this in pre-SP1 MOPS as well, so I don't think its something
introduced by SP1.

We use Activity Plans and associated Resource Plans heavily - it's how
we reduce availabiltiy for project work based on a resource's support
and maintenance obligations, as well as give resources a place to
report support and maintenance time by system or activity. Because we
use the features so heavily, this bug is a real killer for us. Our
Project Server Admin absolutely dreads having to add a new Activity
Plan/Resource Plan, or having to add a new resource to existing
Activity Plans/Resource Plans - it can take her hours to complete when
it really should take minutes.

If anyone has any suggestions on how to get past this, I'd sure
appreciate it!
