Resource Pool Capacity

Q

Questioner

Hi,

I like to know what is the maximum capacity- number of users in the resource
pool.
If we like to enter 8000-10000 resources to the resource pool, how it will
effect the performance?

Thank you in advance!

Questioner,

I assume this questions related to PS2003.

AFAIK PS2003 should be able to handle this large number of resources. We
have customers with a resource pool of a similar size. However, if all these
resources also log-on to Project Server as users, make sure you plan your
deployment architecture accordingly. A one box installation might not be
appropriate for this scenario. :)

As far as performance is concerned opening the Enterprise Resource Pool with
all resources might take some time. I would recommend you to never do that
over WAN as the Project Professional client may crash due the high latency.
Within a LAN you will need a little patience but it will work.

Hope this helps...

Thank you, but actually the question is about PS 2007, I didn't write it in
the question.
