Resource Pool update takes very long

Hi;

We've recently moved from Project 2003 to Project 2007 SP2 (without the
server at this moment). There were 150+ project plans that were to be saved
as Project 2007, including the resource pool. However when a project plan is
saved and I click on 'update resource pool' message, it takes unusually long
time to save / update the resource pool.

Earlier (with project 2003) if it was taking 15 seconds to update the pool,
now its taking more than a minute for the same. Can the experts provide any
suggestions to improve this time?
