Resource pool usage

Darn

Hi, I'm new to Project Server 2003 and would appreciate some guidance
please. I have a pool of 70 resources, each one assigned to a specific
Group (Supervisors, Mech Engineers, Elec Engineers, etc). Is it
possible for the system to create a resource usage histogram, not
based on individual resource but based on Group?

Many thanks,
David

Darn:

What you want to do requires that you use a custom enterprise resource
outline code field. Once you set this up, and assign these values to
resources, the custom resource field will become a dimension in the
portfolio analyzer, which you can use to create your histogram.

Gary,

Many thanks. I've created the custom enterprise resource outline code
field but when I run "Analyze Timescaled Data in Excel" it still bases
the analysis on the sum of the individuals rather than using the new
code as a dimension. How can I force the analysis to use this
dimension?

Thanks,
David
