Resource Pool with Master Plan

I have got a Master/Sub Project setup and want only the
master plan to share with a resource pool, not the sub-
projects. So when I load the Master Project with sub-
projects the resource rates I want the tasks to use is
from the resource pool and not from the sub-projects. I
have set each sub-project with no resource sharing and the
master project with using the resource pool and presedence
set on. However, this approach does not work as the
resource rates that are being applied to the sub-project
tasks when loaded into the master are from the sub-
projects. What am I doing wrong? Or is what I want to do
not possible? Incidently I am not using MS Project Server.
Can anybody help me?

Hi Robin,

You will have to choose... your subprojects share with the pool or they
don't
And if they don't they ignore pool information.
Inserting Projects into a master has NO EFFECT WHATSOEVER on its resources,
only sharing has.
