Resource Problem

Hello everybody,

I want to know that is there will be different resources for every user
in Project Server. Because, when I create resources using the
administrator account in Project Server Professional by filling in the
Reousce sheet..and saving it.......I can see those resources again but
only in administrator account....

My question is what do i have to do to see those resources in Build
Team from Enterprise dialog.....? Coz, when I log on with other users
and click Build Team From enterprise, it do not show any
resources......

what permissions do that other user or in what category that other
users should be.??

Any direction is appreciated....thanks,

Hi Sandz,

I would assume that you use the RBS ( Resource Breakdown Structure). You
will need to ensure that your new Resource is part of the correct RBS, since
your security is dependend on the RBS.

I hope this puts you in the right direction
Thanks

Are you opening the Enterprise Resource Pool by clicking Tools - Enterprise
Options - Open Enterprise Resource Pool and then creating your resources
there? If not, that is how to create enterprise resources. Let us know.

Thanks,

I created the resources as described by Dale, and it is now showing in
the Entprise pool.

Now, there is other problem. I am using MS SQL 2005 with PS
2003.....and unable to create OLAP cube....It says "could not connect
to the OLAP server specified".

I have also tried creating Project Server with MS SQL 2000, and after
migrating repository as described in a pdf guide...i have been able to
create the OLAP cube.....

But, could not do that with MS SQL 2005.....has anybody know how to do
it...any work around.....??

Or else can I continue using the Project Server 2003 without the OLAP
cube...is it possible...

Thanks
