Resource/Project Costs and Reports

Sudhakar

I have Microsoft project server 2007 installed with Project Professional 2007
and PWA as clients. I would like to know the following two things using
Project server 2007.

i) Maintain the individual resource hourly costs and finally finding out the
cost per day of all the tasks assigned to those resources. How can I enter
resource hourly cost into the server? Using "Resource Center->New resource"
is not having any input field known as "cost" in it while creating new user.
Kindly let me know how to do this.

ii) How to generate reports which give me costs per day, costs per month of
all the tasks or all projects executed by my company using project server
2007?

I appreciate your reponses. Kindly help.

You need to open the Enterprise Resource Pool in Project Pro in order to edit
the cost rate tables. This cannot be achieved in the New Resource Dialogue
in PWA.

For your cost report, you have a number of options:

Create a Data Analysis view in PWA which pulls data from the OLAP cube.

Use another reporting solution such as Reporting Services, Performance Point
Server or Excel to displau data derived from the OLAP Cube.
