Resource Start Date?

A Project Mgr. here asked me to change the "start date" for a resource
in the Enterprise Resource Pool. This person is under the impression
that a resource has a start date that can be adjusted w/in Project, by
the Admin. Is this correct, and if so, how do I do it? W/in Help I
only see info on start/stop dates for projects, tasks, etc.

You can change this using the Resource Availability settings accessible via Project Pro.

You need to open the Enterprise Resource Pool and make sure to check the box next to the resource name for the resource you want to modify. Once you have the resource showing in project pro double click it and go to the General tab and set the start date in the Resource Availability box. If need be you can also set an end date. And if you don't know an end date and it really wants you to put something in there just put a date way out in the future.

Check out the resource from the global resource pool. Open the "Resource
Information" window. Set the "Avaliable From" in the "Resource Availbility"
section of the "Resource Information.
