Resource Usage View is crashing

We are experiencing an issue on some plans when trying to view them using the
resource usage view. The view looks like it is about to load but then it
stops and the 'pproject has encountered an error' message box appears. I have
not been able to identify any commonalities between the plans that crash
other than the fact they have between 40 - 70 resources assigned to them. Has
anyone else experienced a similar problem? Could someone please suggest some
troubleshooting steps for me to take to help identify root cause.

I was able to checkout the entire resource pool without a problem. We have
489 resources in our pool. 4 of which are generic resources. Some of the
plans that are experiencing this issue do not share common resources. Could a
bad resource data record cause this issue on a plan even if that resource is
not associated with the plan?

I just performed a test where I created a new plan, added 20 resources, saved
the plan, and went to the resource usage view. The view worked fine. Then I
added 20 more resources, saved the plan and went to the resource usage view
and the view crashed. I will try adding a different set of users and see what
happens. I assume if it is a bad resource record I should not experience the
issue with a different data set. However, is it is an issue with the number
of resources being assigned the problem will occurr again regardless of the
resources I choose.
