Resource Usage view

Hi,

When the project plan as a stand alone app. (.mpp file), in Resource Usage
view, you can hide all assignments which allows you to see resource name
only, then you save and close the file. The next time when you open the
plan, it kept the reouces name only view. However, now the plan is on the
server, it seems like no matter what you do, it won't kept the view, it shows
everything including all the assignments.

Other than use Macro, is there a way you can kept the view?

Thanks in advance.

MJ,

You have several options, but the most common one is to create your custom
usage view in the Global Template. Each project opened in Server will always
have the views applied that are managed in the Global Enterprise.
Hope this helps

Hi Marc,

Thanks for the suggestion. However, I have created a custom resource usage

assignment.

Hi MJ,

in order to create a custom field I would create the custom view in a normal
project and would than transfer the usage view ( and filters etc) to the
global template by using the orgaiser functionality within MS Project.
I hope this will do the trick for you
