Resource usage

When I open a project in MSProject Pro 2003 and choose to view resource
usage, then I see tasks from other projects the resource is assigned to, even
if I don't have any of the projects for these tasks opened. I would like to
se the resource usage for the project I have opened only, can anyone tell me
if this is possible?

Thank you Howard. I didn't know of this option, had my MS Project Pro on
automatic login and never saw it.

Hi Dale,
I have inverse problem in Project 2007 - I (only in comapny using Project
server 2007) cannot see line with "Other projects and commitments" in Reource
Usage View. Do you have any idea how to solve it? I try to check settings
from colleagues, reinstall Project etc. Nothing helps.

Thanks in advance

When you launch Project Professional 2007, do you see a Login dialog with
which to connect to Project Server? If not, do the following:

1. Launch Project Professional 2007.
2. Click Tools - Enterprise Options - Microsoft Office Project Server
Accounts.
3. In the Project Server Accounts dialog, select the "Manually control
connection state" option and click the OK button.
4. Exit and then relaunch Project Professional 2007.

In the Login dialog, make sure you have the "Load Summary Resource
Assignments" option selected and then click the OK button. You should now
see the "Other projects and commitments" line item for each resource in the
Resource Usage view of any project. Hope this helps.

Dale,

how it is simple. I check everything in this dialog except "Manually control
connection state".
Many thanks!
