Hello All, We are using Microsoft project server 2003, I created a use
from the webaccess admin menu, the user gets saved, but when I navigat
to the resource view, i cannot see the user. However, I know it is save
because I can find the user in the drop down and modify the user.

Appreciate your help greatly. Thanks for your time.

Thanks,

In the future, please post your Project Server 2003 questions in the
microsoft.public.project.server newsgroup, as this newsgroup is dedicated to
the Microsoft Project desktop application only. To answer your question,
you created the resource in the wrong location. You must create resources
in the Enterprise Resource Pool, and then the system automatically creates a
user account for each resource. To resolve this problem, do the following:

1. Launch Project Professional 2003 and connect to Project Server with
administrator permissions.
2. Open a new blank project
3. Click View - Resource Sheet.
4. Enter the name of the new resource plus other relevant resource
information.
5. Double-click the resource's name to view the Resource Information
dialog.
6. Enter the resource's Windows user account and click the OK button.
7. Click File - Save As and then click Save as File.
8. Save the file as an .mpp file on your hard drive or in a network share.
9. Close the file.
10. Click Tools - Enterprise Options - Import Resources to Enterprise.
11. Navigate to the folder containing the project created in steps 1-9
above and open it.
12. Import the resource into Project Server.
13. When prompted to convert the user account to a resource, confirm this
action.

Hope this helps.

Hi Dale, Thank you very much. Appreciate your help.

Although, I was able to create the user in the enterprise pool, i am
still unable to see the resource through the webaccess.

Thanks,
Uma
