Resources "Available From" and "Available To"

Hello,

We are trying to see the value in using the Resource Information tab rather
than an administrative project. I am able to enter dates that a resource is
"Available From" and "Available To" and use a % of units. However, when I
then assign that resource to a task within those dates, I am not getting the
proper amount of "Units". It mostly defaults to the Units that was entered
in the 1st set of dates. What am I doing wrong?

Also, I cannot seem to get this "Units" field to appear in neither the MS
Project nor PWA views.

Any thoughts? Thank You!

Laureen,

The units you describe is only used when performing resource leveing. It
will use the unit for the given dates to determin if the resource is
overallocated. What you put in this section has nothing to to with the units
when you assign that resource to a task.

Alos, the units appear next to the resource name in the brackets []. So
Joe[75%] means Joe's units if at 75%.

Thank you Joe, that is very disappointing! It does, however, seem to take
the very first line and use that unit allocation on the tasks?
