Resources cannot report actuals on a daily basis

Hello.
I am using Project Server 2003. I saw the post on 3/23 in which a very
similar issue was reported. However, the resolutions reported are not working
for me. I have resources that have tasks assigned to them, however the fields
are not available to them to have actuals added daily on the right-hand side
of the task sheet. The fields that are available are "Actuals" and "Remaining
Work" on the right-hand side of the task sheet. What setting am I missing?

Your description reveals that your Project Server administrator selected the
Actual Work Done and Work Remaining method of tracking progress, which is
not the method to use if you want users to enter progress on a daily basis
in the timesheet grid. Refer to the following FAQ for the steps needed to
change the default method of tracking progress in PWA:
