resources deleted from resource pool keep reappearing

Melanie Harris

I am using MSP 2007 (non-enterprise). I created a resource pool and linked
that pool to project files that were already created and already had
resources assigned to tasks. Now my resource pool has resources in it that I
don't want in it. I delete them and they keep coming back. Do I have to
delete all of the resources from my sharer files, clean up my resource pool
and then reassign resources in all of my sharer files to get rid of the
duplicate and junk resource names that keep poping up in my resource pool? If
I have to do that, how do I keep MSP from deleting my actual dates from tasks
that are completed when I assign a resource. Thanks!

Hi,

Resource Pools "suck up" all resoruces from connected sharer files so draw
your conclusions: as long as a resoruce appears in any sharer file it will
as yous tate it, "keep reappearing"!
