resources double shifting

I have assigned a day(6am-6pm) and night(6pm -12am) shift
resource to a task which can be accomplished during the
day shift's work calendar. The project calendar is 24
hours/day.
The problem is that the start time is 12am which is the as
soon as possible based upon the precedessor link. The work
is shown as done by the day shift but the night shift
shows "0" work hours in the first hour (12mn). This puts
an erronous start of 12am and the Ghant bar also relects
such.

Can anyone tell me what is wrong or how to work around?

Hello Don,

I tried it on a small projet, and it seems like everything works fine.
I set Hrs/day : 24, hrs per week = 168
Start as default : 00:00
Finish as default : 00:00
