Resources Migration 2003 -> 2007

I know that it is mentioned in the Migration for Office PRoject 2007 that
Resources needs to be migrated once with the Global information.
My situation is that I am maintaining different sites, each one with
resourecs and projects, and I want to make a gradual migration (site by
site). Also, each site administrator has the authorization to maintain its
resources information.

Question: Is there a way to make gradual migration including only projects
and resources from each sites?

If I follow the instruction, I will need to ask each site administrator to
stop maintaining resources information during the migration. This is a
difficult situation for us as the migration is schedule to last more than 6
months.

Any suggestions.

Unfortunately there's no easy answer. Projects and resources will have to be
managed across both instances for the duration of the migration. This will
have obvious administrative and operational overheads and therefore increases
the risk of resource over allocation, difficulty in reporting against the
entire portfolio etc etc

Yes I know, but we have requirement that stop us from deploying 2007 for all
in a short time. I want to start with a group of external users (about 400
resources) which are using Terminal Server at the moment. They are completely
separated from home site resources and PM.
Can I migrate a first time, delete the home resources to keep the external
ones, then when we are ready to migrate the home site, proceed with another
migration execution. Can this work ?
