Resources not displayed - Project Server/Project 2002

Mike Brickner

I have made a copy of the Project Server Database(in SQL Server 2000).
I used the "EditSite.exe" to create another instance of Project
Server on the same web server, connecting to the database copy. I've
been able to delete projects and tasks with the "Clean up Database" in
Project Server. All seems to be well.
Problem - When I add a user in Project Server, they aren't displayed
in the "Resources" tab and they don't appear when I open the
"Enterprise Resource Pool" in MS Project 2002. The resources that
were in the DB when I copied it do appear. Can anyone tell me how to
fix this?

Mike,

Open up the resource Pool from MS Project and once the sheet opens
insert a row or go to the end of the sheet, and right click on the row
and select Add Resource, start filling out info on the first tab and
the Custom Fields tab. Like RBS Structure, etc, etc....Project server
will "actvate" if you will and will try to match up a resource with
the same name, initials, etc. Select the matching name and your
resource will in the pool. Save it and you will see that resource.

You kinda have to play with it a bit to figure out what it is doing.

Let me know if this helps.

Thanks
Cory Craig
