Resources - Pulled off of Projects

Ryan

I would like some advice about prioritizing and taking
resources off a project. I just started using project and
in my environment resources are always being pulled off my
project and working on other higher projects. How do I
replace or show that a resource is no longer workingon my
tasks and that the task is being delayed?

One last thing: I finish and close a project, then a few
weeks later the client will come back and say they want a
simple change to a web page, how should I deal with change
requests?

Thank you
Ryan

Within Project Pro there is a feature called "replace resource" it is a
button on the Assign Resources dialog. This is the best way to replace
a resource.

Using this will allow you to assign the work that was remaining for
this resource to another resource. It is important to note that if the
old resource has Actual Work then they will still appear to be assigned
to the tasks and will still show up as a resource on the project but
all FUTURE work will be assigned to the new resource. This is OK so do
not let it freak you out. You want their Actual Work to remain assigned
to them for your historical record.
