Ressources problemes between day & night shift

I have Project 2003 with server.

My problem is with the resources.
I have a resource call Workers and I have 10 of them. Also I have a
lot of tasks (15) that use 2, 3 or 4 of them in my day shift. My
problem is that I have to create a night shift but with only 4 of the
workers. They will continue the task start in the day shift.

If in my project calendar I add the night shift, then the software
will assign my 10 Workers instead of 4 of them. I don't know how to
specify that. Maybe with the RBS structure?

Thanks anybody for help or a hint where to search.

Hi, I'm afraid I don't know it is that you are trying to do exactly? Please
explain what you are trying to achieve. Certainly with a single resource
called Workers, the RBS is not going to help.

Ok I will try to explain by another way.

I have many resources.
1 of the resource that I define is my Workers, I have 10 of them.

With my tasks, I use all my resources. Like for example:
I have a task that I attribute 2 workers and the job takes 2 weeks. (I
cannot put more Workers to reduce the delay).
Another task with 4 workers, another with 3 and another one with the
last workers.
Then with all my tasks, all my 10 Workers_day have jobs to do.

The problems is that I want to add a night shift but with only a few
Workers, 4 of them. But that resources have already been define to be
10. So in my night shift, Project place 10 Workers to do the job.

I have thought that if I define 2 resources instead of 1 it can work.
(Not sure, it's a guess)
Workers = 10 and Workers_night = 4
Then I only have to set up my task to choose between resources
Workers_day OR Workers_night.

Is it more clear..

And by the way...thanks...
