Restart slide animation when clicking on back action button?

In doing a self help presentation, I have put action buttons on each slide so
that users can go backwards and forwards between slides as they wish. When
they go back to a previous slide, how do I get the slide to start all of the
animation over?

You need to put a blank slide with zero timing or transitions before each of
the slides that contain animations, and then link your buttons to the blank
slide. Linking back to the slide with the animations brings you back after
all the events have taken place.
