Hi Lisa,
Don't know if Acrobat Reader 6 has more options.
In version 5 click the dropdown arrow next to the text selection button "T"
and you can choose the column selection tool.
Then copy & paste.
The full version of Acrobat has an additional table selection option which
works well.
