restore a file

Hi, I was moving an excel file from one folder to another and was told that a
file already existed with the same name and did I want to replace it? I
accidentally pressed yes and have now lost the origanal file. I've looked in
the recycle bin and done a search but can't find it. Help!

It's gone unless you or someone else has a copy of it.

Do you use Vista? It has a restore previous version (or some similar
wording) if you right click the file). Did you e-mail it to anyone? Check
your sent items or ask them to e-mail it back.
