Restore address book after registry reset?

I used the microsoft fix it option to reset the registry because of a
recurring error when opening outlook. Outlook opens, but I lost all the
emails and address book. How do I restore the address book?

"Fix it option?" What is that?
Outlook has no address book. It only has Contacts Folders.
Explain accurately what you really did.
Explain accurately what you actually lost.
Include other relevant details like your Outlook version.

"Fix it option?" What is that?

Some KB articles now contain a link to a "FixIt" feature that wll make some
automatic change to one's PC, often a registry update. For myself, I'm leery
of trusting the automated fixes

Do any of these so called "Fix it" features pertain to Outlook? Is there any
reason we should expect them to work for Outlook? None of the
repair/transfer features that Microsoft offers for its OS level features
work for Outlook. They only break it. As you well know, it has long been my
contention that shell developers and Outlook developers do not converse with
one another enough to make their programs are compatible. Case in point: try
using Windows Easy Transfer with Outlook.
