Restore Archived items

When I attempt to restore archived items I get an error message that states
"The personal file is already in use in the current profile". What can I do
to correct and restore items?

Are you trying to restore from an archive PST? What version of Outlook?
Click Tools>Options>Other>AutoArchive. Is autoarchiving enabled? Is the
box labeled "Show archive folder in the folder list" checked? If not, check
it, then click OK and OK and then, in the Nav Pane, expand the archive PST,
select the folder containing the messages you wish to restore, select the
messages, and either copy or move them back to the folder where you'd like
them.

Is the Archive open within Outlook?
If so the emails are accessible & there might be no need
