Restore Auto Text Toolbar Entry

Daniel

All I would like to do is to restore "filepath and name" to the header and
footer toolbar on the Insert Auto Text toolbar. I tried to recreate it but
it was placed in the Normal subheading, which isn't available in
header/footer mode. Is there anyone who can help me with this? No one has
been responding to my posts so far. At least point me to a knowledge base
article, please.

Mary, actually, this part I know how to do. What I want to do is replace a
menu shortcut that I deleted. When I create a new Auto Text entry, it is put
in Normal and not back in Headers/Footers. You see this menu in Word by
clicking on Insert/Auto Text, and then viewing the drop down menu. There's
Attention Line, Closing, then Header/Footer. An arrow points from there to
the subheadings -Page-; Author, Page #, Date, etc. The missing Filename and
Path subheading is supposed to go into this group.
The problem is, removing Office doesn't delete all the files and the
previous configuration is saved where these leftover files are kept. Is
there a way to totally remove all Office XP program and registry files so
that a reinstallation would be complete fresh?

Forgot to tell you that at the bottom of the KB article you referred me to
is this:

"Click Insert AutoText on the Header and Footer toolbar, and then click
Filename and path.
To insert the file name and path into the body of a Word document, point to
AutoText on the Insert menu, point to Header/Footer, and then click Filename
and path."

This is the Filename and path entry that is missing.
