Restore connection to server farm

Mocha

Dear All,
I hope somebody can help me about this problem. We use project server 2007.
Few days ago, we tried to disconnect the server farm. But we didnt realized
that it could make the central admin site couldnt be displayed. Evertytime we
try to acces the central admin site, the browser only said "The page cannot
be displayed".
How do we get back our central admin site?

Thank you very much for this help. We will wait for the answer.

I mean, we go to sharepoint conncetion wizard and disconnect the server farm.
Do you have any idea Paul?

I'm guessing you had more than one server in the farm and you've removed the
server which was hosting the central admin site.

If I'm correct, I'm assuming that the Web Application service is not running
on the other machine. If you start it, does central admin become available.

If not, I'd be inclined to reinstall the farm in order to create the admin
site, then restore from backup.

then how could we restore frrom the backup. Actually we have already do this :
I will tell you first about our server farm. We have one share point service
instance and two PWA instance (port 2008 for production and 32448 for
development).
1. We go to sharepoint connection wizard then disconenct the farm.
2. Unfortunately our central admin, PWA port 2008 and 32448 came down
3. From Sharepoint & Technologies Configuration Wizard, we tried connect to
this server farm
4. Finally the same, Central Administration still goes down
5. We tried to install from Binary in another server. Central
Administration, and the project server had been created (PWA has shown)
8. We tried open farm in old server from Central Administration in new
server but it wasnt work. Cause in the old server we use local admin for
authenticate.
9. We tried restore database content of project 2007 from old server to new
server but it made the PWA page could not be displayed (in point 5 we had
already made the PWA running but after we restored the old data to new
server, the PWA page only show "the page couldn't be displayed")
So restore the project server database, just made my PWA goes down again.

Out of interest, what where you trying to achieve by disconnecting the server
from the farm ?

Have you got a farm level backup ?

If so, install WSS/Project Server binaries so as to create the central admin
site, then perform a farm level restore.

If you don't have a farm level backup, you'll have to perform a clean full
install and re-connect the old databases.

Paul thnak you for the answer.
I think im doing something wrong by disconnecting it. I tought, it only
disconnect one of the PWA site (the 32448 port) but the fact is all server
farm is dissapear. Is that right?
So i will do full install (cause i dont have farm backup), then how could i
reconnect the old database? Is that as simple as restoring the database from
SQL? Or there is any tool to do so?

We have already get our central admin back... We have reconnect our original
sharepoint and set http keep alive in IIS site properties and we get back
our central admin. Than we rerun project server service.
Thank you Paul for your suggestion...
