I have two PC's with EPM 2007, PC. A ( production) and PC B
(development).
* I did a backup to the PC A, 4 BD's (Draft, Reporting, Published
and Archive)
* I put the Backup BDS (with a restore) in the B machine and I
created a pwa site and indicated the correct and already mentioned BDs
* So far so good: I manage to enter in the B machine and I have
everything that I had in the A PC (except for workspaces, but that's
not really important for now)
Issue:
* after some some days of changes in the A PCd , I do a backup
with the BDs again
* after that I restore the B machine databases with the BDs that I
mentioned above.
* then I try to open the same PWA site but it fails, because the
System account is not the same.
I managed to solve the issue by creating other databases (new
databases) in the PC B where I restored the BSs from the PC A.
Afterwards I edited the PWA site in the central administration and
there I selected the restored databases.
Questions:
Is it possible to restore without having to create new databases or a
new PWA site?
Is the workaround that I used correct or is it possible that will get
any issues with it?
What is the correct procedure
