.
I am trying to restore my outlook information from a tape
backup done on a remote server with "Windows NT backup". I
also backed up the workstation with the "Windows XP
Backup" utility on the workstation to another network
server. This second backup gave me a .BKP file.
I can restore MS Office, but my personal contacts list and
calender information is still not restored.

If you are not connecting to Exchange the restored file you are looking for
is a pst, pst in Windows 2000 and XP are hidden by default and you would
need to turn on Show Hidden Files and Folders in Control Panel Folder
Options > View menu

We had a similar issue.....We got a company called E-Tech to recover
the files. They did an excellent job.
