Restoring a Deleted Workspace

Yikes. Although I added a link to my "Completed Projects Closed"
workspace for my mobile workforce study project workspace, tested the
link, then removed the URL from the SharePoint Site, it wiped out the
whole link, even from within completed projects closed. I had done
this a dozen times previously and it never removed the workspace from
the link within completed projects closed. Now our network admin. is
having a difficult time gracefully restoring it without bringing back
the whole PWA site as it was on 9/03/10 when I deleted it, and he
could not do a clean SQL rollback either.
Does anyone know of a good way to get this workspace back? We back up
every night.
Thanks

Alice,

Bit of a bummer there. The "Easiest" way would be to restore the
backups to another environment and then use STSADM to export the said
workspace from the "Temp" environment and then Import and relink the
said workspace in the "Live" environement. That said however there may
be 3rd party tools out there that you can purchase, that might be able
to make it a bit easier. But personally i dont think your company will
spend a few thousand dollars on a tool that might only be used once or
twice.

Good Luck

Andre
