Restoring Deleted Project in Project Server 2007

Hi, one of our users have deleted a project and i need to restore it.

Where do i start?

Found this in another post:
1. Ask your DBA to create a new SQL Server database and then restore the
backup of the Project Server database into the new database
2. Launch Microsoft Project Professional and log into Project Server
3. Click File - Open - Open from File
4. Click the ODBC button
5. Create a Machine Data Source that attaches to the new database
containing the Project Server backup and then click the Finish button and
the OK button
6. Select the new Machine Data Source and click the OK button
7. In the Import Wizard - Project Definition dialog, select the project
that was accidentally deleted and click the Finish button
8. Click File - Save As, then click the Save as File button
9. Save the project as an .mpp file
10. Close the .mpp file
11. Click Tools - Enterprise Options - Import Project to Enterprise
12. Import the .mpp file saved in step #9 above

Does this apply to my case? What db's do i need to restore of the 4 Project
DB's(Archived, draft, Published, Reporting)

Thanks

2 quick questions:

Is the Project locally cached by the PM or person managing the schedule?

Has your admin ever done a backup to Enterprise Projects?

Hi, i have done all the Sharepoint and SQL backups but only saw today that
you cant backup at a loverlevel in PWA.

I dont know where it is cached. Where can i see that. Not very clued up on
Project.

eUnder Server Settings / DataBase Administration / Backup.

As far as locally cached see if the person who saved this project has it
still when they go into Project Professional and select Open /File

Under the Retrive the list of all projects do you see the Project Name?

Under the "Under Server Settings / DataBase Administration / Backup." i have
there options:

Delete Enterprise Objects
Force Check-in Enterprise Objects
Schedule Backup
Administrative Backup
Administrative Restore

Nothing that tells me where it is cached.

If the person who deleted it try and open it from the list it tells him that
the project does not excist. When they open Project they connect straight to
the server.

Ok, i have restored a older DB,

I wollow the steps and when i click on the Project(in fact any project) i
get error msg:

An unexpected error occured.
The Document table could not be opened. Contact your system administrator
for the database.

Ok, does not look like this is going to happen,

Next question. I have setup a Hyper-v server to restore the complete site to
a test environment.

Where can i get a step by step manual for this procedure?

Ok, this was resolved. Restored the site to a hyper-v server and exported the
project.

Thanks
