Restoring e-mail from an archived .pst file

Windows 2000 Pro

I have followed the directions in the help file over a dozen times and
cannot restore e-mail that I archived into a .pst file. I am trying to
archive several folders of old e-mail to cd. Need to be able to restore them
later if needed.
