restoring outlook 2003 files

I recently had to replace my hard drive. I created a ".pst" file of my
outlook data. when i then restored it, it restored everything except my
INBOX. I really need to get my inbox back. Can anyone help me with this?

Did you save your pst file(s) to external media, then copy that saved pst to
your new HD and then opened that pst within Outlook or did you do something
else?

Yes, I did. However, after I posted this, I went back and copied the
..pst file from my external drive to my internal drive. Then I tried the
import again, from the internal drive. YEAH!!! Everything is there.

Now, how do I close out this post as resolved?

Generally you dont import, you simply simply open the pst, then if required
set it as the default mail store.
