I have an issue that happens to be with Excel, but I think it would apply to most MS Office products. I accidentally tried to save a file to be the same as an existing file name. When the popup came up saying " file xxx already exists. Would you like to replace it" I clicked yes. This mistake has cost me dearly as I really need the old data. I tried to look for older versions of the file by right clicking properties, and found none. Is there a way this can be repaired?

So there is concern over alleged cross-posting. Perhaps that should be considered. Point taken. However, what about an answer to this question? Maybe someone cross posted because they felt it would be hard to get an answer? Looking at the lack of answers, it would certainly seem that this could be the case.
