Restoring Registry

I accidently restored a complete hard drive from one
laptop on to another instead of just resoring my
documents. Now i can't access my Outlook, or any Office
2003 programs fro that matter. I've heard you can Restore
a Registry from a backup memory without having to use
another type of media back up?? (ie. cd). Can anyone
confirm this or tell me how to restore my registry??

This is really a Windows question and, if you overwrote the entire disk,
you're certainly out of luck trying to use many applications, not just
Office applications.
