Restoring/Replacing CONTACTS only

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Power PC Email Client: pop My contacts are corrupt. I have dragged the good ones into a folder. I want to delete the entire Contacts list and replace with those from another (stable) computer running Entourage 2008. I do not want the emails or rules from the other computer. How can I best do this?

Under File > Export select to export only contacts. During the export
process select to delete after exporting. Now you can import new contacts.

Generally Entourage accepts these file types: .rge, tab delimited, vcf.

3 days ago I moved all my email in Entourage 08 to my saved folder. I then deleted the Exchange email link to my old company server. Now all of my folders, contacts, emails, etc. are gone. I have NOT been online so I am hoping the data is still recoverable.

Can anyone help me with this?

It is impossible to state categorically that 'Only' your contacts are
corrupt - everything is keopt in the same database, so if the contacts
are corrupt, then the database is corrupt and so is everything else.

Rebuild the databaseto be sure. Keep holding down the option key when
starting entourage until you see the rebuild screen.

You should always start your own thread. Keeping replies to the
different questions separate makes it difficult for anyone to follow.

Is the Saved folder under folders "On My Computer" or on the server?
Once you delete an account, those messages are lost to Entourage. Unless
you can recreate the account and download again, those messages will be
lost. You can log into the account using OWA to see if they are still there.
