hi, thanks to a syncopration I lost my tasks in entourage 2004. Luckyly I still have a backup copy on an external disk. In which file do I have to copy them to restore the tasks in the main identity? thanks for your help.

Do you mean to say that you have a backup of your Entourage Database?

Rename your backup and copy it into your Microsoft User Data folder:

/Users/yourHomeFolder/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2008
Identities

Use Entourage menu --> Switch Identity... to open your restored backup
copy and then use File --> Export... to export just your Tasks to a file.

Use Entourage menu --> Switch Identity... to select your current
identity and then use File --> Import... to import your file.

Hope this helps!

There is no individual file. You will need to recover your backup first. Be
sure you don't overwrite. Next export as Entourage archive (.rge) file your
Tasks. You can then import the file into your current Identity.
