retail site w/FP2002

newbie

We are building a new site with FP2002, and need to have
the ability to do retail sales from the site. Someone
suggested PayPal, but we don't know much about them. Does
someone have a suggestion about how to accomplish our goal
of retail internet sales? Or experience with PayPal and
FP? Thank you.

paypal works great if you don't have a *lot* of product, it's easy and cheap - just follow their tutorial.

Hi Newbie,

Selling on sites on the Internet is not a small task. There are many things
to consider..like getting Digital Certificates for ssl, Shopping Cart and
database systems or scripting, Merchant Accounts, and lots more. PayPal
actually isn't a bad way to start. You will save a lot of upfront money
along with programming needs in order to allow for selling on the net. One
of the down sides to PayPal was that at one time only PayPal members could
make purchases (which turned some people off) They have now changed that, so
that non-members can make purchases.

To learn more about PayPal take a look here:

Probably the best way is to have a full e-commerce account and setup..but
only if the sales you can make will justify the expenses you will incur.
