Retain information added to fill-in fields in template

I have created a template with fill-in fields.
What I need to accomplish is this:

User inputs in all fill-in fields, say their personal information in a
letter template.
How can I save that information so that they do not have to answer the
fill-ins again when they launch the template at a later date?

KRock,

If you want yourlettertemplate.dot to become their letter template, then
after the user has filled in the personal information prompts the first time
they will need to unlink the information from the FILLIN Field
(CTRL+SHIFT+F9) which converts the field text to hard text then save the
newly created file as theirlettertemplate.dot. When they create a new
document based on this template their personal information will be boiler
plate text.
